Matt has been busy at home, work, and church. He received 3 new cases at work last week and is enjoying the challenges they bring. He just finished up all his stake audits and is still teaching EQ once a month. Matt didn't draw for the Wasatch 100 and so he's picked a couple of other races to do. He also has decided he wants to do a triathalon and so he's been swimming a couple of mornings each week. I admire that he can get up at 5 am each morning to go work out!
He has been such an amazing help to me these past few weeks. I mean, he always is a great help, but these past 4 weeks he's been my champion! The struggle has been keeping Claire happy and entertained at home day in and day out. Because the flu and RSV are so bad this year, during the week, I don't really leave the house. So, each Saturday Matt takes Claire on a "date" for "just me and daddy, not you mommy. You stay home." So far they have been swimming countless times, sledding, and Saturday they went to the Frontrunner train display at Union Station. The Frontrunner is the Trax train that goes from Ogden to SLC. It opens in a couple of months and they are giving the public a chance to ride on it. They also had a bunch of little trains that kids could ride on. She had a great time. That's her in the last car in the green shirt. (By the way, you can click on any of the pictures and they will pull up bigger).
Stella is a good little baby. She pretty much just eats, sleeps, and makes lots of messy diapers for her mom and dad to change. She's starting to settle into a schedule which has helped me stay a little more sane!
As for me, YW has picked up a little bit. We are starting to plan camp and trek which are always busy. We are going to Snider Mill for girls camp; it's up by the Olympic Park in Park City. We are going to stay in a big lodge so that will be fun. Jane Stout is the camp leader and she used to live in the Canyon Rim Stake (sound familiar Mom and Dad!?) so that's how she knew about Snider Mill. I've pretty much let her do what she wants for camp; I've just asked to stay informed. It will be good to have someone else plan and do camp; my ideas were starting to run a little thin! I don't have to do too much for Trek, except go to a million meetings and activities to prepare for it.
I've also started working out again. After so long of feeling so bad, it's nice to feel a little more like myself again. I enjoy exercising and being in shape; it's the getting in shape part I just hate! Hopefully it will be a little less painful in a few weeks! :)
